On Tuesday, April 30th, Hargrave got its ninth win of the 2013 season with a conference victory over the Caissons of Fishburne Military Academy by a score of 12-2.
Solid pitching and timely hitting were the keys to the victory. Pitcher Spence Walker went six strong innings. Walker struckout 6, walked 2, while only allowing 4 hits in six innings. Walker’s record on the year improves to (4-0)
At the plate the Tigers were led by Ryne Sigmon (2 for 4), Shane Bousman (2 for 3), and Logan Barker (1 for 3).
With the victory Hargrave improves to 9-4 overall and 7-1 in the VIC. The Tigers return to action on Thursday, May 2nd when Hargrave plays host to the Falcons of Eastern Mennonite High School. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 PM.
