The JV Tigers learned what it meant to finish a ball game Monday afternoon against a resilient opponent. The Tigers scored early and often against the Lynchburg Homeschool press. They dominated inside the paint with the long arms of Miles Agbaje and Spencer Walker to build a comfortable 14 point lead at halftime. The game, however, was not decided in part because of markman-like shooting from the perimeter by the Patriots in the 3rd quarter. At one point early in the fourth quarter, Lynchburg came within a possession of potentially taking the lead from the Tigers. Hargrave had something different in mind. Directing the offense in the final minutes of a hotly-contested shootout, Cole Ray was able to ice the game with flawless shooting from the foul line. The Tigers won 60-54.
