The Varsity baseball team got a big win on Thursday, when the Tigers were able to defeat the Mavericks of Miller School by a score of 8-2. Timely hitting and solid pitching were keys to the victory.
At the plate Hargrave was led by Nick Houck (3 for 3), Chris Taylor (2 for 4), and Ryne Sigmon (1 for 4). On the mound the Tigers got a great effort from Caleb Mishue (2-2). Caleb went the entire seven innings, while giving up only two runs, while striking out 8.
With the win Hargrave improves to 3 – 3 overall and 2 – 0 in the VIC. The Tigers return to action on Monday, April 15th, when they play host to the Bishops of VES. First Pitch is scheduled for 4:30 PM.
