Playing the second leg of a back-to-back to close out the 2nd annual Rudy Lane Classic, Hargrave cruised past Ridgeview College by a score of 141-66. The game again featured a balanced yet high octane offensive attack, with 10 players scoring 7 or more points in the game.
Hargrave was led by the dynamic backcourt of Brandon Knapper (20 points, 6 assists) and Braxon Beverly (17 points, 6 assists) who once again paced the Tigers in scoring. Naji Marshall (10 points, 11 rebounds) and Lewis Djonkam (14 points, 12 rebounds) each recorded double-doubles in the win. Clayton Hughes (16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists), Justin Brown (14 points) and Sarju Patel (14 points) rounded out the double-digit scorers for the contest. Carson Heinen provided a spark from beyond the three point line, connecting on all three of his attempts en-route to a 9 point, 3 assist, 2 steal performance.
The win extends Hargrave’s record to 26-1 and also extends their home winning streak to 68 games. The Tigers will be back in action on Tuesday as they take on rival Massanutten Military Academy in the Chance Harman Classic in Floyd, VA.
