Hargrave stayed on a roll, easily dispatching a pesky Roanoke Catholic team by a score of 80-55. The Tigers started the game on a mission and didn’t look back. By way of an aggressive and uptempo defensive attack, Hargrave jumped out to a 24-7 lead after the first quarter- a lead the Tigers would not relinquish. In a total team effort defensively, the Tigers collected 20 steals on the night, led by Keon McIntosh (11 points, 8 rebounds) with 6 takeaways.
Offensively, the Tiger backcourt could not be contained. Tyler Chisholm (7 3-pointers made) and Robert Tubbs (8 assists) combined for 44 points on 56% shooting. Jason Fields (10 points, 8 rebounds) and McIntosh also eclipsed 10 points on the night.
The Tigers will be back in action Saturday as they play an important conference game against Covenant. The game will kick off a great day of basketball at Walter Davis Gymnasium at 1:00PM.
