The Tigers opened the VIC Soccer Tournament Quarterfinals with #2 seed Eastern Mennonite High School on Tuesday, In a tight match till the very end, the Tigers fall 0-1.
Eastern Mennonite capitalized on a Tigers mistake in the back in the 20th minute to score the lone goal of the match. “There was a breakdown in communication, where they recognized and took advantage of it,” stated Head Coach Jeremy Eubank.
The Tigers would continue to fight despite being down the goal as they created numerous chances the second half and made some halftime adjustments. “We made some adjustments with moving players in different positions and it created some mismatches that we wanted to expose the second half. I am really proud of our guys in how hard they fought and stuck to the game plan no matter the score,” stated Eubank.
The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, October 30 in Charlottesville against the Devils of Fork Union Military Academy. Match time is scheduled for 4 PM.
