The Tigers avenged an early season loss Wednesday night by defeating rival St. John’s Northwest Military Academy 90-86. With multiple lead changes and runs being made by both teams, the Tigers hit some cluth free throws down the stretch to seal the deal.
The Tigers were led by Anton Gill (Louisville), who lead all scorers with 28 points. Gill turned in a complete performance, finishing with 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Shannon Evans (Buffalo) turned in a stellar, gritty performance, finishing with 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals. Donte Clark (Virginia Tech) finished with 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Gervelle Kidd (Hofstra) finished wit 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists.
