In the Semifinals of the 22nd Annual Toyota Classic, Hargrave Military Academy fell to a nationally ranked Christian Life Center Academy team from Texas by a final score of 95-73. The Tigers record dropped to 9-3 on the season.
The first quarter was a back and forth start, with both teams making big runs and Hargrave only trailed 19-15. Christian Life Center Academy pushed their lead out to 13 points by halftime, and led 40-27 at the break.
Starting the third quarter, DJ Myers looked poised to take over after two thunderous dunks and a traditional three point play cut the Tigers deficit to single digits. However, key foul trouble and defensive breakdowns found Hargrave down by 19 after three quarters, a deficit that proved too insurmountable to overcome.
