On Thursday afternoon, the Tigers traveled to Charlottesville, VA to take on Covenant School. Despite a strong effort, the young Tigers fell 5-0.
Hargrave has embraced the role of road underdogs in the final stretch of the season as they have been away from Simpson Parade Field since early October. The Tigers were much younger than Covenant but that didn’t stop them from competing until the final whistle. The young Tigers continue to improve and understand that the results on the scoreboard don’t necessarily indicate the progress they have made this fall.
David Chen was once again a standout for the Tigers in goal, making 10 saves while being tested all afternoon.
Hargrave is back in action on Friday, October 18th as they head to Lynchburg, VA to take on New Covenant School.
