The Hargrave Middle School Basketball Team traveled to Roanoke on Thursday for a game against the Roanoke Catholic Celtics, who had defeated Hargrave in an earlier game 9-34.
The Tigers showed a lot of improvement and played them much closer, although falling short by a final score of 22-36. Isaiah Guzman was the leading scorer for the Tigers, with Zach Szostak, Zach Packer, Slater Barefoot and Ben Badami also contributing points.
The Tigers next game will be on Tuesday, February 14th at 4:00 against Liberty Christian Academy here at Walter Davis Gymnasium. (It will be a challenge, against the same LCA team that defeated the Tigers 38-8 in an early season game.)
