Hargrave Military Academy went on the road and took down VIC Conference rival, North Cross, 62-48. The Tigers improve to 11-3 on the season.
In a slow start, Hargrave led 10-5 after the first quarter and then began to pick up their defensive intensity and really flustered the Raiders of North Cross. The Tigers took a 29-17 lead into the half.
Hargrave used a crucial run to start the second half and pushed their advantage to as many as 26 points with a flurry of thunderous dunks and forced turnovers. Hargrave’s pressure wore down North Cross and forced them into 40 turnovers. North Cross heated up in the fourth quarter, but Hargrave was able to hold on for the 62-48 victory.

Hargrave returns to Walter Davis Gymnasium on Thursday, January 26th, as they face another VIC Conference opponent, Eastern Mennonite. Tip off is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
