Friday, October 4th the Hargrave Tigers battled in round 2 of their grudge match vs. New Covenant School based out of Lynchburg. It was a gritty game that proved to be filled with injuries once the 60th minute hit in the match. The final score was a 0-3 loss for the Tigers.
The game was to be won and lost in the midfield, and although we had 3 shots on goal at halftime, New Covenant only had 2, and the halftime score was a 0-0 tie. In the second half, Hargrave battled hard, but after a few injuries for Hargrave, New Covenant put away 3 quick goals in the remaining 20 minutes of match play.
