The Tigers played hard against VES, but came up short 41 to 25. The Tigers fought hard in the first half behind the play of Jason Fields, Isaiah Guzman and an outstanding touchdown reception by Vernon Whitaker. The Tigers defense played well at times in the first half, but gave up a late score in the second quarter to give the lead back to VES. At halftime the score was 21 to 19 in favor of VES.
Unfortunately the third quarter was won by VES and that proved to finalize the outcome of the game. VES scored 14 unanswered points and pulled away from the Tigers. The Tigers continued to work hard and compete into the 4th quarter with Jason Fields scoring on a 11 yard run. The defense of the Tigers came up just short of stopping the Bishops twice in the fourth quarter to get the ball back in the hands of our offense.
