The Tigers traveled to Waynesboro, Va to take on VIC rival Fishburne Military School. The Tigers had a very strong showing from all positions as they were able to rout the Caissons of Fishburne 16-2. Despite the lopsided final score, the game was well played by both sides and brought each side brought a fair amount of hard hitting action to the field.
The Tigers were led offensively by Attackman Chris Brunetti (7 goals, 1 assist), who continued his torrid start,Michael Sullivan ( 4 goals, 4 assists) and Midfielder Stephen Chain, who also tallied 4 goals in the contest.
On the defensive end of the field, goaltender Adrian Roman recorded 12 saves on 14 shots, while defender Luke Dewitt recorded 5 controlled ground balls.
It was a total team effort that guided the Tigers to victory. They achieved this with class, character and commitment throughout the entire game. The win brings the Tigers to an even 3-3 on the season. They will return to the field take on conference rival Libertry Christian Academy on April 10th. The game is scheduled for a 4:30 start at Hargrave’s Simpson Parade Field.
