Returning to the pitch after a week off from games, the Tigers showed no rust in a convinving 2-0 win over Miller.
Patrick Franzoni was the catalyst on offense for the Tigers, assisting on the game’s opening score in the 47th minute with a through-ball to Raines Wall, then scoring a goal of his own in the 74th minute. The Hargrave defense was stout in front of goalkeeper Brett Feller, who collected six saves en route to his second clean sheet of the season.
The Tigers will be back in action on October 8th as they travel to Waynesboro, VA to take on military-school and VIC rival Fishburne Military School. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:30. Also, be sure to be on campus on Friday October 9th as Steve Kuk ’93 will have his jersey retired at half-time of the match against Fork Union Military Academy. The home game on Friday is scheduled for a 4:30 kick-off as well.
