Tigers Stumble Against Blue Ridge

On a gloomy, rainy Saturday in Chatham, the Hargrave Tigers hosted the Barons of Blue Ridge School for a Blue Ridge Athletic Conference football game. The Tigers braved the elements but ultimately fell short 56-0 moving their record to 1-2 on the season.

Despite the final score, this young group showed great potential as they continue learning and growing under first year Head Coach, Josh Cothran ’98. After the game, Coach Cothran remarked, “We couldn’t have asked for better football weather for tonight’s game! I felt like we gave a great effort for all four quarters and we should take tonight’s loss as a learning experience to help us continue to build this upcoming week.”

The Tigers are hitting the road for the first time this season as they head to Portsmouth Christian School on Friday September 16th. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
