In their home opener, the JV Soccer team took down the Bishops of Virginia Episcopal by a score of 3-0! The Young Tigers are 1-1 so far this season. Below is a recap from their Head Coach, Elliott Perkins:
Please congratulate JV soccer for their 3-0 victory against VES yesterday evening. The boys played with an incredible amount confidence and trust in each other which led to great passing and many goal scoring opportunities.
Offensively, Mu scored twice and Fowlkes once. Ball and Ellis had many goal scoring opportunities and will certainly get one in the future.
On defense, Hayes and Braswell had breakout performances which, alongside Hudson and Hooper, created an impenetrable defensive back line. They did their job so well that Weber complained of being bored.
As captains, Mu and Ellis lead the team with great positivity and focus.
Yesterday was a great day for Hargrave and Hargrave soccer!
The JV Soccer team will be heading to Roanoke, Virginia on Thursday September 15th to take on North Cross School. Game time is set for 4:30 PM.
