For the second time this season, the Tigers squared off with cross-town rival Chatham High school. Just like the first contest, the Tigers easily dispatched their opponents thanks in large part to a huge game by Jason Fields.
From the tip, the Hargrave pressure was too much for Chatham to handle. Hargrave forced the Cavaliers into a bevy of turnovers that led to easy scoring changes all over the court. The Tigers poured in 61 points in the first half, taking a 30 point lead into the break. Jason Fields scored 27 of his season-high 31 points before intermission.
Fields also came close to recording the first triple-double for Hargrave this season, finishing with 9 rebounds, 8 steals and five assists to go along with his 31-point scoring effort.
Keon McIntosh also had a big game in the win, recording his 10th double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Tyler Chisholm was the only other Tiger in double figures, chipping in 21 points with 3 3-pointers.
The Tigers will be back in action tomorrow night as they host Fishburne Military School in the Walter Davis Gymnasium. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30PM.
