The Tigers returned to Simpson Parade field on Friday as they hosted Holy Cross in a VIC clash. Additionally, the Tigers honored their 13 seniors this evening (11 players and two managers) for their contributions to the program. Scoring in the opening seconds, the Tigers took a commanding lead and never looked back for the 8-0 win.

Opening the scoring in the first 20 seconds of the match for the Tigers was senior center forward Youssef Abouzied (Cairo, Egypt) for the 1-0 lead. In the 13th minute the Tigers got on the board again as senior right forward Elyas Harris ( Las Vegas, NV) found the back of the net for his first ever goal off an assist from junior left forward Paul Hughes (Danville, VA) to make it 2-0. The Tigers would go on to add three more goals prior to the halftime whistle as Abouzied scored again the 27th minute off an assist from Harris. Hughes would score in the 32nd minute off an assist from senior center midfielder Ebrahim Al-Aghbari (Yemen). Then, junior center midfielder Gabriel Powers (Roswell, GA) scored unassisted in the 34th minute to take the 5-0 lead at the break.

“It was good to get back home and to play in front of their parents and friends,” said Head Coach Jeremy Eubank. “Senior night is one of those opportunities for our guys to be recognized for their contributions to the program over the length of time that they have been part of our program and school.”

In the second half, the Tigers would open scoring in the first 5 minutes as senior left forward Kuan-Hisen Liu (Tanien, Taiwan) scored in the 45th minute off an assist from senior right fullback Patrick Lord (Nashville, TN) to make it 6-0. The Tigers would add two more goals in the 59th minute and 68th minute as Hughes, assisted by Abouzied, and Harris scored respectively to close the game out for the Tigers.
