In a big time road game with an electric atmosphere, the Tigers of Hargrave defeated the Woodberry Forest Tigers in overtime with a final score of 52-49 to move to 5-1 on the season.
This contest was tight throughout, with no team really able to break away. Woodberry Forest controlled the pace, but Hargrave was able to answer and took a 19-18 lead into the locker room at halftime.
Hargrave committed to defense in the second half and utilized a barrage of deflections, steals, and timely free throws to give themselves enough cushion in the overtime period to pull out the road victory, which was also their third win over a VISAA Division 1 opponent this season.
