Which moves our Team record now to: a perfect 6-0 on the season in the first three meets!
We had 3 new State Qualifications:
– Our 200 Free Relay of sophomore Ashton Burton, eighth grader Josh Sandler, senior Brandon Bordelon, and senior Caleb Rogers
– Senior Josh Choppa got his second cut, but first individual event in the 100 backstroke by almost a whole second (that’s big in the world of swimming!)
– 8th grader Josh Sandler also got his second cut, and first individual in the 50 free bonus event
Over all we had 17 of the 26 swimmers drop time tonight in at least one, some two, and Sophomore David Kiesnowski dropped time in all three events he swam!
Our biggest time drops of the evening goes out to freshman Peter Ferrante who dropped 23.17 SECONDS in the 200 IM, followed closely by senior Luis Vale who dropped 17.33 seconds in the 200 IM (swimming next to Peter), and sophomore Scott Kennedy who, in the same 200 IM, dropped over 11 seconds!
First year swimmer sophomore Bennett Soles dropped over 7 seconds in his 100 free, while in the same race senior Jean-Luc Latry dropped 16.18 seconds and scored in the top 3 of the event!
