Hargrave Aquatic experienced a great meet at the Second Annual Vast BB/B/C meet from January 8-9, 2005.
The Harrisonburg meet provided great challengers and an exciting venue for many Hargrave Aquatic swimmers. The effort of two 12-year-old Gretna athletes, Chelsea Law and Jason Reese, stood out among several exciting swims of their peers. Chelsea completed her first 200 Butterfly on Saturday and her first 400 IM on Sunday – two tough events. Jason did the same, but also won first place in the 11-12 year old 1,650 mile swim, earning an ‘A’ time standard.
This was also the first big meet outside our immediate region for many new swimmers to the team. Overall, the team performed very well.
