The Varsity Baseball team earned a hard fought victory over the Gaels of Holy Cross on Friday by a score of 6-1. Great pitching was the key to the game for Hargave, as Juniors Nicholas Houck and Markel Owens combined to pitch seven innings, while only giving up two hits and striking out seven. At the plate the Tigers were led by Cory Wood, Ryne Sigmon, and Spence Walker. With the win Hargrave improves to 7-7 overall and 5-2 in the VIC.
Hargrave returns to action on Saturday, April 21st, when the Tigers play host to the Bulldogs of Martinsville High School. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
