Saturday, in the midst of all the fun homecoming activities, the Varsity baseball team hosted Roanoke Catholic and won the big conference game 10-3. Hargrave led with a strong pitching performance from Mark Loving who went 7 strong innings, allowing only 3 hits while striking out 10 Roanoke hitters. Offensively, the Tigers were lead by Logan Barker who went 3-5 with 2 triples and a single with 2 RBI’s; Darrell Smith went 2-4 with 3 RBI’s; Riggs Jordan was 1-3 with 3 RBI’s; Michael Laforgia who was 3-4 with 2 stolen bases; and Brad Markiewicz who had a 2-run home run. The Tigers are back in action this afternoon as they travel to Carlisle for a 5pm start. Thank you to all of the Alumni, faculty, staff, and families who came out to support this weekend!
