Hargrave drops its conference opener to the Raiders of North Cross. In a close game, the Tigers came out slow and the Raiders were able to capitalize early taking a one point lead at the end of the first. Hargrave came alive in the second quarter, outscoring the Raiders 13-11 for a one point half time lead. The third quarter was a back and forth battle that saw neither side gain an advantage. The four quarter belonged to the Raiders. A five point lead with two minutes left balloned to 10 by the final buzzer due to fouls by the Tigers and made foul shots by North Cross.
The final score was 40-50.
The Tigers were led by Malachi Paige with 15 points and 4 assists. Adom Robinson chipped in 13 points and Kevin Noulowe added 8 rebounds and 4 blocks.
