The Tigers faced a tough conference road test and were able to emerge victorious over the Eagles of Covenant. Hargrave used solid defense and unselfish offense to jump out to a 22-11 first quarter lead. However, the Eagles would not go away. In a scrappy second quarter, Covenant cut the lead by four to 33-27 at half. The third quarter had two runs, first by the Eagles, then a 10-0 finish to the quarter by the Tigers to keep the lead at six going into the final frame. Hargrave kept their composure in the fourth quarter, as the Eagles battled back, and were able to seal the game behind the play of Kyle Rhoades down the stretch for a 64-61 win. This makes the Tigers 10-3 (7-2).
Hargrave was led by Kyle Rhoades with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Jordan Gee also chipped in 16 points and 9 rebound.
