The TIgers came out of the gates sluggish against the Gaels of Holy Cross. A back and forth fisrt quarter saw the scrappy Gaels take a one point lead into the break. Hot shooting from beyond the arc helped the Gaels stay close as Hargrave went into intermission with a one point lead, 32-31. The second half was all Hargrave, as the Tigers applied defensive pressure to smother Holy Cross. The Tigers came away with 11 steals in the last two quarters, and a one point lead balloned to 30 before the final buzzer sounded at 78-50.
Hargrave was led by Lyndon Massenburg with 16 points and 7 steals. Adom Robinson contributed 16 points, 6 assists, and 4 steals. Tim Buchikos had a solid game with 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 blocks.
