In a tale of two halves, the Tigers earned a resounding victory over the Cavaliers of Chatham High School. Hargrave struggled out of the gate in Thurday’s road contest. Point blank missed opportunities and turnovers highlighted a low scoring first quarter as the Tigers led 5-4 after one period. Defensively, Hargrave continued to clamp down on the Cavaliers in the second quarter, while the offense picked up to the tune of 19 points to stretch the lead to 11 at half time. The second half was all Hargrave. Chatham struggled with the pressure defense of the Tigers and turnovers led to a 25 point lead for Hargrave after three quarters. This lead balloned to 31 in the fourth before the final buzzer sounded for a 65-38 win for the Tigers.
