The Tigers returned from Christmas break to take on the Barons of Blue Ridge School. In a one-sided contest, the Barons defeated Hargrave 104-39. From the opening tip, Blue Ridge controlled the pace, jumping out to a 22-8 lead. Foul trouble plagued the Tigers, Danny Smith spent much of the game on the bench and the Barons took advantage. Turnovers in the second quarter allowed Blue Ridge to push the lead to 51-17 at half.
The second half saw much of the same, as the Barons continued to extend their lead. Hargrave was led by James Long and Zach Edmunds who scored 12 points apiece. The Tigers return to action on 1/9 in a road contest against the Miller School. Tip is set for 4:30.
