Hargrave secured a tough road victory over Covenant, 90-83. In an up-tempo game, Hargrave sprinted out to a 19-16 first quarter lead and maintained a two point lead going into the locker room. Covenant came back in the third quarter, taking the lead and building it to six points at one time. The Tigers battled back a held a slim one point lead going into the fourth. In an exciting fourth quarter, Hargrave scored 35 points, pushing the lead to ten with four minutes left in the game. Covenant was forced to foul to stop the clock and clutch free throw shooting sealed the victory for the Tigers.
Hargrave was lead by Mike Rodriquez with 30 points, Adrien Lucienne with 28 points and 6 assists, James Dean with 17 points, and Danny Smith with 9 points and 5 assists. Hargrave returns to action February 5, 2008 to take on Roanoke Catholic. Tip is set for 7:00 in Roanoke.
