The Tigers were able to overcome a sloppy second half and horrendous free throw shooting to remain unbeaten in conference play with a 76-70 overtime victory against Covenant. Hargrave led the entire first half, but were unable to extend past two points at intermission. Covenant capitalized on several turnovers in the third quarter to take a one point lead, 42-41. In an exciting fourth quarter, the lead changed hands several time, including a clutch three point shot by Javonte Rankin with 16 seconds left in the game to put the Tigers up by two. Overtime was dominated by Hargrave, as the Tigers were able to put the game away at the free throw line when it counted.
Hargrave was led by Javonte Rankin with 20 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds. Avery Johnson added 17 points and 13 rebounds and Jordan Gee chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds.
