The Tigers closed out the month of December with an exciting win over Dan River High School. Hargrave again fell behind in the first quarter, 15-16. An early second quarter run allowed the Tiger to gain a six point lead, but the Wildcats came back and tied the score on a three point shot at the buzzer to tie the game at 30 all.
The tempo of the game increased in the second half with the Tigers outscoring the Wildcats 20 to 16. Going into the fourth quarter with a four point lead, Hargrave continued to push the ball. As time slipped away, the Wildcats were forced to foul and the Tigers made seven of ten foul shots to secure the victory. Hargrave swept the season series with Dan River with the 73-64 win and improve to 4-0 on the season.
Hargrave was lead for a second straight game by Adrien Lucienne with 27 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Also contributing was James Dean with 11 points, Zach Edmunds with 11 points, and Corey Thompson with 10 points and 7 rebounds. The Tigers return to action on January 4, 2008. Tip is set for 6:00 against North Cross.
