The Tigers opened the regular season with a convincing win over the Lions of Faith Christian Academy. From the outset, Hargrave was ready to play its only game before the Thanksgiving break. The Tigers jumped out to a 31-3 lead by playing aggressive defense and causing 8 first quarter turnovers. The lead was stretched to 44-7 by halftime and the Tigers did not look back, cruising to a 75-26 victory.
Hargrave had nine players score, with four in double figures. The Tigers were lead by Aaron Brown with 15 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 steals. Also contributing were Zach Edmunds with 13 points; Danny Smith with 12 points and 6 rebounds; and James Long with 12 points and 4 steals. Mike Princivil chipped in with 9 points and 5 steals. Saquan Darby added 7 points and 4 assists in the winning effort.
The Tigers break for Thanksgiving and return to action December 2nd in a home contest against the North Cross School. Tip is set for 5:00.
