The Tigers came out hot on Senior Night, jumping to an early 18-11 lead on conference rival Liberty Christian Academy. In a see-saw second quarter, the Bulldogs were able to cut into the lead by one, giving Hargrave Military Academy a six point cushion at half-time.
The third quarter was a defensive battle, as both team sought to find a weakness. In an exciting forth quarter, the Bulldogs wore down the Tigers and took the lead with three minutes remaining in the game. Hargrave was not able to overcome the execution of L.C.A. down the stretch, as the Bulldogs iced the game from the free-throw line.
Leading the way for Hargrave were Seniors Nick Barr with 16 points and 7 assists, Karson Mott with 13 points, and Junior Brian Sigmon with 7 points and 6 rebounds. The Tigers finish the regular season with a road game at V.E.S. on Feb. 15.
