In a hard fought game, the Tigers fell to the Bulldogs of Liberty Christian Academy, 60-45. Before the game, Hargrave’s two seniors were recognized in their final home game. LCA took a 6 point first quarter lead after hitting a three at the buzzer. This lead grew to 13 at half as the Tigers struggled to find the goal in the second quarter. The Bulldogs pushed their lead to 21 early in the third quarter, capitalizing on Hargrave turnovers. At this point the Tigers rallied back, pulling within 12 points in the fourth before finally running out of time.
Hargrave was lead by Danny Smith with 20 points and 3 assists. James Long continued his solid season with 14 points and 2 steals. Hargrave will open the VIC Conference tournament with a road game on 2/24. Opponent to be determined.
