Hargrave returned to the win column with a victory over the Raiders of North Cross, 79-76. The Tigers controlled the game from the opening tip but were unable to put the Raiders away until late. Offense was the theme as the Tigers scored 18 or more points in every quarter. The Half-time score was 40-37.
The lead for Hargrave was extended to 11 in the third quarter, but the Raiders would not go away. North Cross was within one point with under a minute to play until a timely defensive stop and two free throws iced the game.
The Tigers were lead by Quinton Coples with 35 points and 12 rebounds. James Dean had a terrific shooting night and chipped in 25 points. Mike Rodriquez continued his consistent play with 17 points and 5 assists. Hargrave returns to conference action against Liberty Christian Academy on February 12, 2008. Tip is set for 7:00 in Lynchburg.
