The Tigers won a key conference game Thursday, by defeating North Cross School 83 – 49. Leading the way on offense for the Tigers was Rashad Smith. He chipped in 23 points, had 4 assist, and 3 steals. Other players contributing offensively were DeAngelo Spruill (11pts, 3 assist and 2 steals), Clarence Conrad (10 pts, 3 assist and 2 steals), Marcus Wright (10 pts, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks), and Renard Fields (10 pts, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks). Senior Jacob Floyd had a solid night with 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assist. The win was a total team effort with each player contributing valuable minutes. With the win the Tigers record improves to 4-1 on the year. Hargrave’s next game will be on Monday, January 12th, when the Tigers will host Lynchburg Christian Academy. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
