The Tigers opened thier seasonTuesday agianst the Celtics of Roanoke Cathlic. In an afternoon contest Hargrave sufferd thier first loss of the season, falling 10-2.
A sluggish start and early penalties left the Tigers in an early hole. The second Half saw better play from the Tigers, who netted 2 goals and held Roanoke Catholic Scoreless the entire third quarter. At the start of the fourth quarter the tiger had cut the lead down to three but were unable to generate any kind of offensive push late in the game.
The Tigers (0-1) were lead by Jeff Tabor in goal who recorded 14 saves on the day. Andrew Hieny had a solid game at LSM, recovering 5 ground balls and playing well disaplined defense. Patrick Masterman led the attack on offense, figuring in on both goals. Hargrave takes to the field once agian March 17, 2008 at the home of E.C. Glass. Game time is scheduled for 5:30 start time.
