Hargrave 6 – VES 17
The Tigers of Hargrave played host to the Bishops of Virginia Episcopal Tuesday afternoon. The Tiger’s had high hopes for the game coming off a strong win against conference rival North Cross School, but would be turned away 17-6 as the offense for VES would be to much for the Tigers to shut down. Offensively the Tigers played well tallying 6 goals on the day by attackman Jerell Brand (3), attackman J.C. Shelton (1), and Midfielder Patrick Masterman (2). Aaron Montgomery, J.C. Shelton and Patrick Masterman would each add an assist to the stat sheet as well. Goalie Stefan Taylor recorded 14 saves on the day but was replaced by backup goalie Reilly Embrey who recorded 4 saves in the game.
Other Notable Performances were face-off midfielders Reeves Hollar and Oliver Salman and Long Pole Andrew Heiny.
The Tiger’s Next game is April 15th were they will travel to take on the Raiders of North Cross once again in Div. III Conference Play.
The Tigers are currently 5th in the VISAA Polls and stand 1-1 in Div. III Play,
2-1 in VA Private III play and 2-4 Overall.
