Rifle Team Background: This year’s tiger rifle team is comprised of 9 first year shooters and one returning shooter. These young men are making great progress for a group of inexperienced shooters. Though the match is recorded as a loss, it is an accomplishment for the team. They surpassed last year’s first match of the season score by 104 points.
For those not familiar with the scoring process:
Each shooter fires 10 rounds from three different positions;prone, standing and kneeling. The highest possible score for each shooter is 300 points. The sum of the top 4 scores is the team’s match score. To be competitive in this league the team needs to shoot a score of 1000 points.
