Hargrave 1065 – Fork Union 940
The HMA Rifle TEAM finished its 2006 regular season with a victory over Fork Union. The Team has swept the regular season with an 8-0 record for the second consecutive year. All of the shooters fired a strong match. There were 5 shooters firing above 260. Haymes and Forrester fired the high match scores (267). Forrester had a strong day. In addition to tying for the match high score, he also tied with Haymes for the match high prone score (97) and fired the match high standing score (82), which is a personal best for him in the standing position. Haymes fired the match high kneeling score (95). This score makes Haymes the 2006 high kneeling average (90.38) shooter for the team. Gladding has fired a top 4 score for 4 consecutive matches. Gray was able to fire another 250-point match. Kneppler and Largen fired competitive scores as well. Kneppler fired above 200 points (223) for his fourth consecutive match. Largen fired (236), only 6 points less than the top shooter from the opposing team. Lazo holds the high 2006 season average match score (264.5) for the second consecutive season. Following a close second is Haymes (264.37). Frank holds the high 2006 season prone average for the team (96). Frank is also the only shooter on the team to fire a perfect prone match score (100) this season. The 2006 season stats and awards will be published after the 2006 State Tournament.
