Varsity Soccer claims three Virginia Player of the Week titles

Hargrave Military Academy’s varsity soccer team set a new program milestone after three team members were named Virginia Player of the Week. Each Cadet represented Virginia in a national listing of Cadets of the Week on MaxPreps, a popular online high school sport website.

MaxPreps working with the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) named Hargrave Cadets Chris Czarnecki (Week of September 7, 2015), Raines Wall (Week of September 21, 2015) and Nick Marsoobian (Week of October 5, 2015) as Boy’s Players of the Week during the competitive 2015 Fall season.

“To have three players selected over the course of a season is a testament to the hard work and effort that these three young men have put in during the season,” said Coach Jeremy Eubank, Hargrave’s head soccer coach. “This is a very big moment for our soccer program, having three players selected in a season is unheard of. This is an exceptional honor and as this ranges from all of the schools in Virginia that play soccer in the fall!”

The NSCAA selection process is based on the reported stats for that particular week produced by all soccer players in the Commonwealth. NSCAA was established in 1941 and serves as the world’s largest soccer coaches’ organization serving members at every level of the game.

“The fact that these young men were selected by the NSCAA, which is the national coaches association for the U.S., is a very big honor for these young men, our program and our school,” said Eubank.

Czarnecki is the son of Jim and Roberta Czarnecki of Baltimore, Maryland. Marsoobian is the son of Bradley and Pamela Marsoobian of Danville, Virginia. Wall is the son of Andrew and Staci Wall of Chatham, Virginia.
