Thursday, September 6th, offered a day full of sunshine and promise for a potential win for the Tigers. Unfortunately, an outcome of a 1-1 tie was the result on Simpson Parade Field.
The Tigers came out strong with a goal by Samuel Konzi Mongot Gnihi in the 3rd minute of the game. It seemed as though the momentum would be in Hargrave’s favor. Although the Tigers possessed the ball and played simply, mistakes in the defensive end cost the Tigers a goal from a foul from behind in the PK box. Westover finished their resulting penalty kick to tie the game. Henry Averett stood out for the second straight game in the net, tallying a strong 19 saves on the day.
