Hargrave 1 – Carlisle 8
Playing our first game on turf at the Smith River Sports Complex in Martinsville, Virginia against the Carlisle Chiefs, the Tigers came out on the losing side of this one. Carlisle’s defense strangled our offense and kept us from having a single shot on goal in the first half. However, in the second half, Raad Alshinibr dribbled around a couple defenders and put one far post on the goalie to score our only goal in the 56th minute of the game.
Jay Suthard played well but solid shots by Carlisle’s offense kept him working. He managed to have 4 saves on the game.
