Varsity Soccer vs. Carlisle School

Hargrave 1 – Carlisle 3

The Tigers played one of their best games of the season against one of the best teams in the VIC conference in Carlisle which is undefeated in conference play.

The Tigers actually controlled much of the play and had some good scoring opportunities but could not get the ball past their fast defenders and their 6’7′ goalkeeper. The shots on goal did favor the Carlisle Chiefs 13 to 8. The three goals against the Tigers were all scored by one of the best offensive threats in the conference, Trey Gaylor.

Daniel Austin Nolen was the lone scorer for HMA Tigers with a nice shot into open goal after the keeper was drawn out of his goal area. Bradley Faught put in another great game in goal for the Tigers with 11 saves. It was a total team effort by the forwards, midfielders and backfield.

After 3 games in 4 days, the Tigers will get ready for yet another match on Saturday at home against another worthy opponent in Eastern Mennonite with match time around 1 PM on a lovely fall day in Chatham.
