Hargrave 3 – Covenant 5
The Tigers were tired after the two hour bus ride to Charlottesville on Tuesday and had a very slow start. The Tigers allowed 4 quick goals in the first 22 minutes.
After that, they played well and out shot the foe and out scored the foe 3-1. Just before the half, Rwad Alshinibr came off the bench and was able to score for the Tigers to make the score 4-1.
The Tigers came out with good intensity the second half and passed well to deserve some good opportunities to score. John Wilkes Barber and Ben Luther were both able to notch a score to bring the score to 5-3 with 12 minutes left in the match. Even though the Tigers kept the pressure on with some good passing, they were not able to get a couple more goals to even the match.
Next for the Tigers will be a home match on Thursday at 4 PM against Fishburne, an 8 PM match at Carlisle on Friday evening, and a 1 PM home match on Saturday to finish the regular season. The possibility of VIC playoffs will depend on the outcome of these last three games.
