Hargrave 4 – Holy Cross 2
The Tiger Soccer team headed up to Lynchburg on a rainy and windy afternoon and came back with a valuable win to make it two in a row on the road.
The Tigers came out with good passing and pressure on the Gaels defense and took 13 shots on goal in the first half and were able to put 3 of them in the back of the net. The Tiger defense did have a short lapse and allowed one goal in the first half for a 3-1 lead at half.
The Tigers came out with good composure in the second half and were able to put in another goal but also allowed the Gaels to notch one goal also for the 4-2 final score.
Yassin Asfour had another goal scored in the first half while Rwad Alshinibr pushed in two goals to help the winning cause. In the second half, Allen Hobbs was again in the right spot at the right time to push one past the goaltender for the final Tiger goal.
The Tigers were happy to get another win on the road, especially in poor playing conditions, to bring us to the record of 3 wins and 2 losses.
