Hargrave 0 – LCA 9
The Tigers played their final regular season game against a very tough LCA squad. Hargrave played well but was overwhelmed by the offensive prowess of the Bulldogs. Kip Gore did have a couple shots on goal, along with Nick Fallen and Forrest Brown, but none were able to find the back of the net. Overall, our possession, ball movement, and offensive opportunities were much more fluid than the first time we played them.
On the defensive side of the ball, Ben Baker, Evan Starks, Sam Shuey, Josh Sadler and Camara Thomas had a very busy day, but did their best against a quick offensive strike that LCA seemed to launch. Jay Suthard had another solid game with 7 saves on the game.
It was great to see everyone improve and grow as players over the past season. Not only did players improve their overall skills as soccer players, they also improved their attitudes, and that is an impressive thing to do in a tough season like this past one. I am proud of the heart and drive that all of our soccer team had throughout the season and I look forward to working with them again.
