The Hargrave Varsity Soccer Team dropped their second game of the season, after being shut-out by Timberlake Christian School by a score of 0-3.
The Tigers came out with several scoring chances in the early going, but just could not capitalize on the opportunities. In the 16th minute of play Timberlake added their first goal of the match. After the goal, the Tigers could not regain their rhythm, but held the score at 0-1 at the end of the first half.
In the second half the Tigers showed signs of improvement, but could never get themselves on the board. Timberlake added their second goal off of a penalty kick, and then notched their third goal of the match late in the game.
The Tigers had 9 shots in the match, while giving up 11 to Timberlake. Goalkeeper Garret Torney had 7 saves in the match.
The Tigers (3-2-1 overall, 3-2-1 conference) will look to rebound against Christian Heritage, a non-conference match-up, on Friday, October 1st. Kick-off is at 4pm at Hargrave.
