Hargrave took second to a very powerful North Cross School in the VIC Championships. Event winners for HMA were Hank Lee in the 50 Free (22.86) and 100 Free (50.84); Matt Sullins in the 100 Butterfly (57.99); and the 200 Free Relay Team of Lee, Mike Wheeler, Sullins, and Ryan Barrington (1:39.28) Other notable swims … Ryan Barrington’s 1:54.42 in the 200 Free (2nd Place) moves him to 6th HMA All Time, while Matt Sullins’ 2:14.41 in the 200 I.M. (2nd Place) puts him 8th HMA All Time. Maria Francella qualified for State in the 200 Free (2:25.85) and 100 Free (1:05.44). Hargrave’s divers will compete Saturday, February 14 at the Midlothian YMCA. The diving invitational will begin at 2 PM.
